Welcome to Boracay Beach Resorts Review Website

Hello to all visitors here in our blog review website about the beautiful white beach island of Boracay in Malay, Aklan.

We Are Born Natives of Aklan Where Boracay is Found

My parents are natives of Aklan, particularly in Buruanga where the travel going to Bora is just about 15 minutes. It's a 10 minute (no-longer rough road) trip from Poblacion to Malay, Caticlan Jetty Port, the center of transport going to the island where you can find pump boats called ferry boat and in some instances, a speed boat going inside the isolated island of the white beach. In Caticlan is also where you can find Boracay airport, a literally age old small air strip where charter planes used to land and small planes of Cebu Pacic, Air Asia, Zest Air can also take passengers from Manila to Boracay or Caticlan.

Manila to Kalibo and Manila to Caticlan Travel

Comparing the Caticlan airport with Kalibo, it is much cheaper if you travel by air from Manila to Kalibo than it is with Boracay airport. The reason is first and foremost, the longer air travel going to Caticlan and being the prime location nearest to Boracay perhaps. On the other hand, if your plane ticket is bound for a trip from Manila to Kalibo, it is way cheaper in cost but you will have to embark on a trip about 1 hour at its fastest phase and 1 and a half hour at most. This is a travel by van which costs about 100 pesos to 150 pesos today, 2014. If you choose to travel the hard and longer way, you will have to go for the jeepney or mini bus ride which is much enjoyable at small locality short stops which gives way for tourists to see the island better with a clearer vision compared to tinted airconditioned van or hi ace.

Cheap Airfare Travel with Popular Airlines

If you are to go looking for the cheapest airfare option, you can try popular airlines like Cebu Pacific, Zest Air, Air Asia and PAL or Philippine Airlines. But all these will depend on the airport where you will land. We used to embark on a trip Iloilo to Manila and found out that it is more comfortable there than to go Kalibo or Caticlan. The piso fare is by far the most popular travel package. If you are out looking for all inclusive Boracay tour package, there are lots of travel agencies offering this. You will have to go looking for them in malls, groceries and small offices in Metro Manila or better yet, search for them on the internet where you can absolutely find plenty of amazing offers and freebies.

Travel Suggestions

If you are not a frequent traveller to Boracay, I strongly suggest that you go for a travel suggestion and prepare a possible itinerary first so you can manage time consumption and not waste any time trying to embark on a trip you don't know what will happen unless of course if you are the adventurous type who can spend so much time and money enjoying and having fun wandering around the island. For cheap hotels, I strongly suggest that you stay outside of Boracay unless you plan to stay there to enjoy nightlife and music and bands and the sea water at its cool breeze. Boracay is not the type where you want to stay for the night unless you want to enjoy having fun and and experience night life which by the way is awesome and wonderful especially if you want to get the feeling of excitement how Boracay looks like very early in the morning or how the blue sea and the white sand beach combined feels like in an early morning plunge. That is of course if you have money to spend for a hotel in either station 1 or station 2 or station 3 where lots of choices of places and hotels to stay are plenty.

Huts, Villas, Hotels, Transient House and Cheap Options in Poblacion Buruanga

There are huts, villas, 5 star hotels, 3 star hotels, transient houses and more options if you just try to find them first online and reserve your stay early. Otherwise, I suggest that you explore the island of Buruanga, just a few minutes away from Boracay and next to it is the wide shoreline full of fresh marine produce in the morning where you can cook your own fresh seafood 3-4 times a day. Buruanga municipality had a nice tourist hotel worth staying and it only costs 1,500 pesos for a day stay for a 2 queen sized bed room with your own hot and cold shower and large dining area where the veranda is overlooking the wide sea shore line of the Poblacion. You can actually take a plunge by the shoreline which is clean and comparable to other Manila beaches and resorts like those found in Batangas.
